What to Expect After Vein Procedures

After vein treatments, you can return to work the same day.  You can expect to take Ibuprofen the first week and to wear compression hose for three weeks after each procedure to minimize the bruising and help with closure of the veins.  Walking is an essential part of recovery when a leg is treated.  Walking helps prevent potential side effects.  You should walk at least 30 minutes every day.  Strenuous physical exercise such as weight training should not be resumed until your physician says it is okay.
